Questo piccolo libro di frammenti poetici per me è un laboratorio linguistico, una sfida all’intraducibilità della poesia.
Insieme all’autore Marco Marengo abbiamo pensato di tentare di riportare questi frammenti poetici in inglese, dopo averli già trasportati in tedesco e russo, sperimentando in questo modo la creatività del linguaggio poetico, i limiti della traducibilità e l’andare oltre la traducibilità postulata a priori. Il linguaggio poetico è un linguaggio dell’anima, carico di significato e pieno di sfumature. Il leitmotif che abbiamo individuato per questa raccolta è quello del fiume che si è fermato, forse come simbolo della paralisi umana, della mancanza di dinamicità o forse come simbolo di un pensiero che si ritrova nel silenzio e nell’interruzione del flusso.
For me personally, this booklet consisting poetic fragments represents a language laboratory and a challenge with regard to the untranslatability of poetry.
In collaboration with the Italian writer Marco Marengo, we wanted to give a try by translating these poetic fragments into English after having translated them into German and Russian already. This way, we wanted to test the creativity of the lyric linguistic form, the limits of translatability, and the overcoming of the translatability we had defined a priori. The poetic language is a language of the soul being full of meaning and rich of nuances. The leitmotif we have discovered for ourselves for this collection is that of the interrupted flow of the river. Perhaps it is the symbol of human paralysis, of the lack of dynamism, or perhaps it is the symbol of a thinking that finds itself in the silence and in the interrupted flow.
In this manner, the interrupted river reflects the world which has slowed down.
